Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 31, 2026 · To The 6th, LLC · hello@tothe6th.app
To The 6th, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates To The 6th (tothe6th.app). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It applies to users in the United States.
1. Information We Collect
- Account & profile information: your name, email address, city, life stage, bio, photo, icebreakers, and other information you choose to provide.
- Connections & activity: your invitations, connections, introductions, vouches, and messages within the Service.
- Payment information: if you purchase a Paid Membership, payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited billing details (such as subscription status and the last four digits of your card) but do not store full payment card numbers — Stripe handles card data.
- Usage & product analytics: basic technical data (device and browser type, IP address) and first-party analytics about how you use the app — such as which onboarding steps you complete and actions like sending invitations or requesting introductions — used to operate and secure the Service and to understand and improve how it works. This analytics is kept in our own systems and is not shared with third-party advertising or analytics companies.
- Push notification tokens: if you enable notifications on a device.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Service — including creating your profile, facilitating connections and introductions, and delivering messages and notifications.
- To process payments and administer memberships and the Anchor Program.
- To secure the Service, detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- To communicate with you about your account and the Service — including transactional messages (such as security, billing, and connection or introduction activity) and occasional re-engagement emails summarizing activity you may have missed. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time (see "Your Choices and Rights").
3. How Information Is Shared
- With other members. By design, your profile (name, city, photo, bio, etc.) and your connection and introduction activity are visible to members you connect with, or who may be introduced to you, consistent with the app's features and your settings (such as your discoverability setting).
- With service providers. We share information with vendors who help us run the Service — for example Supabase (database, authentication, hosting), Stripe (payments), Netlify (web hosting), Resend (email delivery), Sentry (error and diagnostics monitoring), and push-notification providers — under agreements that limit their use of it.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and security of our members, the public, or us.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- We do not sell your personal information.
4. Your Choices and Rights
- Access & update. You can view and edit your profile at any time in the app.
- Deletion. You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the app (under Settings), or by contacting us at hello@tothe6th.app. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, connections, and messages from the Service. We may retain limited information where required by law or to prevent fraud and abuse.
- Notifications. You can disable push notifications on each device.
- Email preferences. You can unsubscribe from non-essential (re-engagement) emails using the unsubscribe link in any such email, or by contacting us at hello@tothe6th.app. We will still send essential account and transactional messages.
- California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know about, access, correct, and delete the personal information we hold about you, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or "share" (as those terms are defined under California law) your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@tothe6th.app.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal information — including your profile and messages — except where we are required to retain certain records by law or to prevent fraud and abuse.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including access controls and encryption of data in transit — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date.
